Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Recurse platform at cfa.recurse.institute (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Account Terms

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• One person may not maintain more than one account. Sharing account access with others is prohibited.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscriptions & Payment

• Access to premium features requires a paid subscription.
• Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. By subscribing, you also agree to Razorpay’s terms of service.
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected).
• All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing cycle.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including but not limited to practice questions, vignettes, study notes, explanations, mock exams, and any associated materials — is the proprietary intellectual property of Recurse.

• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, download, display, or transmit any content from the Service without prior written consent.
• You may not use automated tools (scrapers, bots, etc.) to extract content from the Service.
• Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the content for your own study purposes only.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Share, resell, or redistribute your account access or any content from the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6. Disclaimer

Recurse is an independent exam preparation platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the CFA Institute. “CFA” and “Chartered Financial Analyst” are registered trademarks of the CFA Institute.

The content provided on this platform is for educational and practice purposes only. We do not guarantee any specific exam outcome.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Recurse and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) shall survive.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
